This pub was popular with the young and had three pool tables, a cash machine, several televisions, video juke box and DJs Friday and Saturday nights. The pool tables were to the left, with a raised seating area with some old local photos to the right. In the summer there was a bouncy castle in the garden for children. The pub was also a poular venue for watching televised football. The pub was formerly called the Evening Star. Unfortunately the pub was closed in September 2008, possibly as part of a new supermarket development.
