This family run pub actually opens at 10.30 Monday to Saturday, when you can buy homemade cakes, but you can only buy an alcoholic drink after 11. It has a small entrance hall, which does have a table and chairs, and leads to the main L-shaped wooden floored bar. This has loads of natural light and some sofas. There is also a room at the back which in mainly for dining but can be used by drinkers. A variety of food is served between 12 and 9 everyday, and an added attraction is take-away fish and chips. Note the map on the wall showing the pubs of Surrey in 1958. Outside is a large and pleasant garden, which is below the level of the road. The seasonal beer is not always available.       (see above)
