This pub was originally a 19th century pub called the Crown before in shut in 2011 and then became Bertram Bee's at the Crown when it turned into a wine bar. It is now a pub again, although the beer offerings are now bottles, usually including some from Hogs Back, plus lager and Guinness. Wine is still popular with the customers. Food is all freshly made and is available whenever the pub is open. There are pizzas, pies, tasting plates, baguettes, ploughman's and soups and the pizzas are popular as takeaways as well as in the pub. On the left, at the back of the bar area at the front, is an area which can be used as a function room or as overflow if the pub is busy. As well as the garden which can be accessed from the car park, there is another to the left accessed from the bar area. Dogs are welcome and there is Wifi. There is a TV screen which can be used for terrestrial sport. Babies can be changed in the ladies.
