This cream-painted building has seen various extensions over the years and now comprises a wood-panelled, parquet-floored, low ceilinged pubby drinking area at the front, which leads through on the left to a rear dining area. The old Sussex flint-faced outbuilding at the rear is worth a second look. Bar food is served daily (sandwiches and snacks) and there is a restaurant to the rear where more substantial meals are sold. Food is served 12-3 Monday to Friday and from 12-9 Saturday and 12-7 Sunday, where on Sunday there is a carvery. Pool is played in an outside barn (competition on Thursday night), with discos on Friday. There is a garden bar in use in summer along with barbecues when the weather is good. Breakfast is served each day from 9-12.
