Adnams Southwold Bitter Larkins Traditional Ale Morland Old Golden Hen
Now part of the small Grumpy Mole chain, this rural pub attracts regulars who consist of a cross section of society, from farm workers to stockbrokers and landowners. The pub is on a number of walkers’ routes and both they and their dogs are welcome, as are cyclists and horse riders. The back of the pub is the restaurant area while the front is for drinkers, although food is served there as well. Food is a strong presence with this available from Monday to Saturday from 12-9:30 and Sunday from 12-8:30. Afternoon tea is served from 3-5 (not Sunday). Good views over the surrounding countryside can be had from the garden. A covered veranda with a couple of tables has been added at the back. There are car parks either side of the pub and a television which may be occasionally used for terrestrial sport.
