Admiral Inn

The "other" pub on Nutley Lane, this friendly local has recently changed hands and undergone a facelift. The outside has been repainted in beige, and this colour scheme has been followed through inside with a variety of creams and light browns giving a light and airy feel to the interior. A variety of film stills adorn the walls. The two rooms have been knocked back through into one room, as it would have been about thirty years ago. The bar still falls into two distinct areas. To the left is the lounge which has a large projection screen TV and a couple of comfy settees, as well as a few chairs and tables. The public "bar" to the right has less seating while all around the bar are a number of bar stools. Little of the nautical theme remains to link this pub to its name other than a circular window on each door into the bar with an etched ship’s wheel. Although the lunches are simple pub fayre, take away authentic Thai dishes can be ordered a day in advance for those able to plan ahead. No food is sold at weekends
