Two bar brick-built pub on the eastern end of the village. There are darts and pool in the public bar to the side, where dogs are allowed, an eating area in the front lounge bar and a large function room at the back. The guest beer may be a national brand, such as Greene King Old Speckled Hen, or may be from a local brewery. It is mainly used by locals, but in the summer walkers and cyclists also frequent the pub. Food, most of which is home cooked, is served from 12-2.30 and 6-8.30 Monday till Friday and Saturday in the winter (12-7 Saturday in the summer) and 12-5.30 on Sundays. There are occasional live music, quiz and theme nights.
