Marvellous two roomed pub which nestles on the slopes of the North Downs. It was built in the late 18 th century and became the alehouse for the staff of the Beaverbrook estate. The building was extended in Victorian times. The attractive multi-layered garden has lovely views out over Norbury Park and the Mole Valley and is very popular in the summer. The extensive menu, featuring a large number of vegetarian choices, gives a restaurant feel early evening. Food is served Monday to Saturday from 12-2 and 7-9:30. There are no evening meals on Sundays, when meals are served through to 5pm instead. Access is difficult for the infirm as the main entrance is up some steep steps. Parking is available outside the Italian restaurant, just off the main road.
