The Old Cage is a grade II listed building, and dates from 1592. The building only became a pub in 1970 but had previously been a bakery, a shop, a restaurant, and a private residence. There are many genuine antiques around the pub including some wonderful blowlamps. The one bar is stone flagged and has many little areas off it including one which has a real fire housed in a magnificent inglenook. Food is served every day from 12-9, with breakfast available from 9 in the morning. There is a patio for outside drinking. The guest beer in this free house changes and can be from a microbrewery; however it is sold under the house name of Jailer. The three bedrooms are all en-suite.
