A large and comfortable community pub on the outskirts of town, the Royal Oak was formerly owned by Charrington’s, and became part of the Greene King estate in 1994. The one bar, which is open all day, has both pool and darts, and also big screen TV for sporting events. At lunchtime the pub is popular with office staff from the nearby industrial estates and food is available each lunchtime from 12-3, and Monday to Friday evening, 6-8. Outside are a large patio area and a beer garden.
