Large, comfortable pub at the junction between Balcombe Road and Smallfield Road. Inside, everything has been knocked through to leave a U shaped room with the bar forming an L shape in the middle. The end result is 2-3 distinct drinking areas. Parts of the original interior were originally panelled but these, along with the rest of the walls have been painted in that creamy/orangey colour that is becoming prevalent in the current wave of pub refurbishment. Scattered throughout the pub are several gaming machines, which ensure the solitary drinker has more than one way to spend his money. Outside there is a large beer garden to the rear, while there are two or three table benches to the front for those who like to drink on the street. Over 21s only after 9pm and no work clothes at any time. Food is served from Monday to Saturday from 12-2:30 and 5-8:30 and on Sunday from 12-4. Disabled customers will find entering easier from the car park entrance.
