Now in West Sussex, the Greyhound was part of Surrey until 1974, and still has a rural feel to it, despite its proximity to Gatwick Airport and Crawley’s industrial estates. There are two separate bars to this 1930s pub, plus an upstairs function room. The public has two pool tables and a dartboard. The lounge includes a semicircular part to the front which has a number of old photographs pertaining to marbles, for the Greyhound is well known as the venue for the World Marbles Championship every Good Friday. The sixfoot raised ring they play on can be seen in the car park. The pub is open all day, with food served 12-8. Sport is shown on big screen TVs and outside there is a large garden.
