CLOSED/DEMOLISHED

Away from the town centre, the Eclipse was a two bar Friary Meux pub. It took its name from a horse that was born under the sun’s eclipse of 1763 and became a great champion and sire of many others. It closed in the early 1980s, but the building still stands and is used as offices.
