This weatherboarded pub with a brick extension is in an idyllic setting next to a pond with its waterfowl, and opposite the cricket green. It is 250 years old, and parts were once police stables, becoming a pub in 1836. Inside it has been modernised in typical Ember Inns fashion, with soft furnishings and the trademark pile of logs by the gas fire. There is one bar with a lounge area on several levels. Two guest beers mainly from regional brewers. Open all day.
