Ducks from the nearby pond on the village green often waddle into the car park of this very attractive 17th century inn found opposite the church. The pub interior rambles over four levels, all served by a single L-shaped brick built bar. The far part of the uppermost area, to the left of the pub, is festooned with hops. The lowest part of the bar has large flagstones on the floor, with the other areas having bare boards. Throughout there are wooden beams and posts, solid wooden furniture, and walls displaying a large number of interesting sporting photos and prints. Home-cooked food is a feature with a varied menu on offer, although no food is sold Sunday evening. Two guest beers are sold, changing seasonally. The pub was a former Surrey Trust Company house. Outside there are large gardens.
